_{Growing up, I had challenges in learning, and reading my books aloud was my strategy for understanding the lessons.} 

_{Reading aloud in the sitting room swing attracted all the neighbors' attention, and everyone praised me for being an obedient student.}

_{The remarks from everyone made me so confident, and I was always one of the best in my classes, eventually bagging the best all-rounder in academics when I finished grade 7.}

_{By the time I finished Feydhoo School as the best-all-around student, I was very ambitious, and all I could see myself as a brilliant scientist - floating and gliding in the air.}

_{However, fate had another story for me. My destiny was sealed. Although I scored 99, 96, and 94 in Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, respectively, due to a 58 mark in English Language at the entrance exam for Southern Secondary School, I was forced to do business stream.} 

_{My family tried severely, but the management was adamant that a student who scored low in English could not be a science stream student. I lost hope and my self-confidence, too.} 

_{A few teachers like Mr. Vijey Sundar, my accounts teacher, and Ms. Fathimath Naseer, my Economics teacher, instilled a flame of hope in me, and I ultimately got some hope and decided to become an Accountant - a dream I chased for the next 20 years.}

 _{Although I finished my secondary education as an average student, I bagged the title of the most disciplined student of the final year.} 

_{I hated English Language and eventually got a D on the O'level exam, which closed my door to A-level studies at Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Male'.}

_{Although I scored better than 80% of the students in other subjects, it was an outright rejection for me because the staff at the CHSE counter made a mistake in collecting my application form with a D in English Language.} 

_{A second round was open, but I was rejected because Principal Ms Amira had once said a "NO" to my form. Although I was 100% eligible, she couldn't bypass her pridefulness and ego and reverse her "NO."}
