An Islamic Perspective on the Law of Attraction

"Under laboratory conditions, cutting edge science has confirmed that every thought is made up of energy and has its own unique frequency. And when this energy and frequency of a single thought radiates out into the Universe, it naturally interacts with the material world. Of course, it has long been known that matter, or physical objects, are also just packets of energy at the sub-microscopic, quantum level. And so, as your thought radiates out, it attracts the energy and frequencies of like thoughts, like objects, and even like people, and draws those things back to you. It follows then that your THOUGHTS… BECOME… THINGS! It’s the Law of Attraction." The Secret

Like many of you, I heard about the law of attraction through the work by Rhonda Byrne. As I read and listened, I thought this was too powerful, and I must use it. Six years ago, I started and gave up because it didn't align with me. Again, four years ago, I was scared and buried the learnings. I then saw beginners like me doing magic, crediting the law of attraction as the game-changer. My mind forced me to explore more.

The initial problem was that the author of The Secret was attracting abundance from the universe. As a Muslim, if I am to say that, it is associating a partner with Almighty Allah because we believe everything that happens to us happens by the decree of Almighty Allah. As a firm believer in Allah's ruling, I asked Allah daily for guidance. I started getting the realization that if non-Muslims are achieving success through this concept, as Muslims, we should be achieving way more because we are believers in the Lord of the world.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds (Q 1:2)

My curiosity led me to ponder and reflect on the verses of the Quran and combine them with neuroscience tools. As I applied what I learned, I slowly started manifesting my goals. I had an overhaul and started living with an abundance mindset, crushing the scarcity. I created an identity shift and adopted a nourished mindset, escaping the fixed mindset and advancing from a growth mindset.

I only asked Allah and believed that whatever belonged to me would come to me, no matter what. When I ask, I should have complete conviction in Allah, do the required work and get out of my own head. I became a MindPreneur: a thought leader who embraces challenges and has a smile despite all the downfalls. Gratitude, smiling to inspire, and creating an identity shift using the power of my mind became my norm.

The result: at first, I saved $5,000 for my John Maxwell certification course, followed by launching our branded programs (helping students crush their limiting beliefs and transform into their identity 2.0), publishing my book, hosting the first global coaching and speaking symposium and commencing a $20,000 cohort. These were some business-related things, while my gratitude list is endless.

Through my work, I guide the students to strengthen their connection with Allah, reconstructing them from the cocoon to a beautiful butterfly with the sisu and wings to soar. Their results amazed me more and deepened my trust in Allah. The more time I spend remembering Allah, the greater my success. After a recent encounter with a freshman in our program, I decided to dig deeper and establish the connection between dua, neuroscience, and behavioural psychology.

You can watch the first episode of Law of Dua to learn about the interrelation.

My final thought is that whenever we learn a concept, we can discover ways to integrate it into our daily lives to achieve an optimum life.
